Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American actor and singer is extremely well-known. In her early years Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by many people in America. It was in her ninth year that she started to feel more confident following her acclaim at an audition. Not only did she gain confidence through the audition and gained experience, but also changed her career goals. At the age of 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. In 1993 she had her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was titled You've got Mail. In the Broadway first production of Spamalot She played the role of Lady of The Lake and was awarded the Tony Award as well as high praise from critics. The following year, she was cast in the ABC series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider acceptance for the role. A well-known performer, she also has released a song and a play. In addition, she is an LGBT activist.
